I've missed posting several games now, and the oral tradition of them has unfortunately faded into the mists of time. Therefore, we sit around charred remains of an alien decimated ruin to tell you of the 12th time the world went mad with war.GAME 12
In our last session, the aliens had invaded the earth and fought alongside their human collaborators. They were pushed back, however, by the valiant human resistance efforts.
In this skirmish, they came back for revenge.
Commander ME of the Aliens set up a base of operations in South America. Full of cities, the continent would be easy pickings for their superior tech. Commander JMAK set Khan Industries up in North America. NRE carved out a burning crater in Australia for the Mutants.
The Aliens started out with momentum and never lost it. Alien ships performed multiple drops into unguarded cities and multipled like rabbits in their high population cities. Khan Industries was their first target and their HQ fell quickly.
The Mutants should have been doing well, being so far away from the action. But Alien City Smashers screamed DIE HUMANS and razed two Australian cities to the ground and all the mutants within.
The aliens snaked through Africa and into Australia via the new shipping lane created in the last wars, taking the Mutant HQ in the process.
Afterwards, the Aliens had enough troops to take all the remaining cities on the board, which was their nefarious plan from the beginning.
Events really affected this game. Events fell heavily in the aliens favor and almost made them seem well overpowered.
Foreshadowing: They are not undefeatable.
Counts after Game 12
ME - 4
NRE - 4
