DESCRIPTION
Andreas took his 2nd win in the longest game sofar, featuring both our first two secret packages, and our first two eliminations.

Andreas started in North America, slowly claiming it all, keeping it well defended at all times, using pacts with Richard to Asia, and Linus to Europe. When North America was taken and thoroughly defended, South America was next while building a large army in Brazil. All this was accomplished peacefully, getting hold of only one single resource card. Then finally Africa was swallowed. Finally opposed, and attacked for a couple of rounds, Andreas was still strong enough to conquer the HQs of Kamchutka and Eastern Australia, getting 4 HQs and eliminating Mattias in Sosaria.

Jon started in Eastern Australia, after taking Sosaria he moved out in Asia. After a couple of rounds he made a deal with Richard to attack Europe and New New Caledonia respectively. Jon remained well defended in the Eastern African bunker, however he was attacked by Mattias in Sosaria instead, loosing his continent, his HQ and was finally eliminated from the game.

Mattias started in New New Caledonia, claiming it all during his first turn while still having troops enough to bunker up some in Western Europe. Then he managed to keep New New Caledonia pretty well defended, and signing an alliance with Linus for the north border towards Europe. However, Jon continued attacking, then defending himself with large forces in the East African bunker, and Mattias saw his chance to attack Jon in Sosaria instead. All of New New Caledonia was now lost, not to Jon, but to the invading forces of Andreas. Mattias managed at conquering Sosaria, devouring Jon on his way.At the end, Mattias exchanged cards for a VP, and launched an attack against the HQ of Kamchutka, but he didn't reach it.

Linus started in Europe, pacting with Andreas between Greenland and Iceland, and with Mattias into Africa. He was attacked one turn by Richard into Russia, but apart from that managed to keep Europe for most of the game. At the end game, he tried to stop Andreas in Africa while defending the HQ in Great Britain. Alas, the last round all of his defences was in Europe, and Andreas could move around his forces and take the other HQs out.

Richard started in Kamchatka, going for resources rather than continents. He made a deal with Jon to attack into Europe, while Jon attacked New New Caledonia. However, the next round Linus had lots of resource cards, so to save himself, Richard made a one-turn non-aggression pact with Linus, and the round after his defences where to strong to try to attack. Instead in the mid game, he defended against Linus forces, and then launched an attack into North America, took Andreas HQ and even went to Venezuela. Even though he kept that HQ for one more round, Andras had no problems to retake it once resouce cards where spent in the final round.

Andreas won a decisive victory, contested only by Linus. Mattias had a small chance of victory, but Richard and Jon never really had a chance for victory.


INGAME CHANGES
[o] Pack 2: Open when a player is eliminated. Introduced mercenaries and comeback powers.

Evolution 12-E: When a faction with an empty blue slot is knocked out or eliminated, the player controlling that faction chooses its comeback power.

Enclave of the Bear Comback power: Mobile: At the start of your turn, you may move one HQ you control to an adjacent territory you control. HQs cannot share a territory.

Die Mechaniker Comeback power: Well-Armed: Add 1 to all of your attack dice when attacking an HQ. [/o]


ENDGAME CHANGES
[o] Pack 3: Open when a person gets to sign the board for the second time. Introduced Mission cards, Event cards and Homelands.

Evolution 12-F: At the end of your turn, when you draw a resource card, you may draw a face up card containing a territory in your homeland, even if you do not currently control that territory. Homeland: Look at the back of your faction card. The faction's homeland is the continent that has been the starting location most often for the faction (including this game). If there is a tie, the faction does not have a homeland.
