I wouldn’t even move gates. Many scenarios have certain very dangerous monsters that tend to spawn at more remote gates. Moving these closer would be a pretty significant change.

I’m going to be the Debbie Downer and restate my conviction that this game is not super replayable. It’s decently so, but if you want to really play it a ton, you’ll will quickly extinguish the scenarios.

The scenarios in this game have very specific play patterns and usually one understands the best strategy by the end of the first play through. If you play one again soon enough to remember it well, I find it lacks tension and interest. You can simply play it by the numbers and be done.

In my opinion, this is more a function of the core mechanisms of a scenario and mixing up the map wouldn’t solve the issue.

For me, I don’t like to play a scenario from this game until it’s been 6-12 months since the last time I played it. I like this game a lot, but it doesn’t have the qualities of a game that gets played 100 times a year.
