On Sunday my friends and I played a 6 player game, with one new player and 5 'veterans'.

On the first turn we discovered a graveyard right next to the front door, I don't know why we didn't see it on the way in, and in that graveyard was a "mystic slide" that conveniently took the player right to the stairs from the basement!

Soon young Brandon Jaspers made his way into the basement and there he met a friendly, (and totally not creepy), raving, frothing madman. And shortly after Girl companion joined him and soon his entourage met groundskeeper. We were wondering just how big his party would get!

Eventually, with about 2/3 of the house explored, my character, Zoe Ingstrom, finally found the Dog and failed the haunt roll. It was time to enter the wolf.

While I waited for my traitor to take her first turn,we discovered that Madame Zostra already had the revolver. She was also standing right next to the Furnace room, so on her turn she made the silver bullets.

When it came round to my turn I was going to rush in and attack Ox Bellows, because due to a bad roll when encountering some webs he was stuck. However, the other heroes were so loud and exited about getting the bullets and only needing to kill me to win I changed my tactics.

I used almost my movement to rush to the graveyard and hit the "Mystic slide". I assumed that as the traitor is an 'ally of the house' the slide would work like the mystic elevator, that is I could choose where the slide goes without rolling the dice, and I landed right on Mrs. Zostra and tore her to pieces.

So here is where we pause interject a few questions:

1) Can the traitor use the slide without rolling?
2) Could Madam Zostra use the Revolver, or any weapon really, when making a defending roll?
3) With my enhanced Might I totalled 10 on the attack, while my opponent's might was already below starting and he only managed 3, so I'd tear her to pieces. Is it possible to voluntary reduce the damage inflicted, as to keep her (barely) alive and hopefully turn her into a wolf on later turns?

Now back to the story...

Shortly after that things fell into chaos with literally everyone, and the dog, racing into the basement and fighting to take control of the revolver. I did succeed in turning Jenny LeClerc into a wolf, but by then the revolver had been recovered by Ox, who ran into the Mystic elevator where Professor Longfellow was waiting with Brandon and his crew.

Then the remaining "heroes" decided the best course of action would be to give a loaded gun to a 12 year old and make him shoot 8 year old Zoe in the basement. So that's exactly what happened and I was out. A final struggle erupted between the recently wolfed Jenny and Brandon, but he shot her too, and thus ended both the game and my chance to be (posthumously) on the winning team.
yuk

Anyway, in the post game analysis we wondered what would happen if all three remaining heroes were to just remain in the elevator. Both the Wolf players and the dog are forbidden to enter, so we would have a stalemate.

What could you do in that situation?
