Isadora Rocha - Cthulhu: Death May Die - Fear of the Unknown (KS)

She's such a feared assassin that her foes will politely let her take a 'time out' to rest & investigate, it's Isadora Rocha!

Noteworthy paints used: I'll forever content that Pallid Bone was the best overall color from Speedpaint 1.0 and the 2.0 version is still great. Here it was mixed with a darker brown for a base coat and also used to re-tint the extreme highlights toward the dingy yellow color of the trenchcoat. The extreme coat highlights were PA Khaki, a color I go back to extremely often. Finally, Scale's Amarth Blue continues to be one of the best in its set, both for pigmentation and coverage.
Challenges: Man, it bums me out a bit that she looks "sleepy" if you zoom in because it is HARD to get eyeballs visible within those tiny glasses. I'm worried I'd make it worse trying to correct that since I don't paint with a sewing needle. Beyond that I'd say this was not a difficult mini - very simple pose and not many colors. Most of the constraints I ran into were my own desire to add more effects, not an issue of the mini or its sculpt.
Things I'm proud of: So this was an experiment in adding my more extreme comic-book-esque highlights into a character like this and... it's pretty cool? I don't think it reads as 'grounded' as the coloration of some of the other investigator minis I've done, but it's a really nice effect, particularly in good lighting. I'll have to really see if this is a case-by-case basis or if I'm going to prefer extreme highlight effects to just having nicely painted human characters.

Strategy: Isadora can "neutralize" enemies, letting her be safe to investigate/Rest as long as she's shiv'd them a bit. Often the "Brawling" path leads toward the level 4 for eventually doing AoE damage on every hit, but her personal ability would allow her to just eliminate any wounded enemies (even 1 hit of a monster's 8 HP), making her a pretty appealing option for potentially stopping at Brawling 2 and going up on her personal skill. Definitely feels like a powerful character compared to some Season 1 & 2 folks.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy! =)
