Necro but I thought I was going crazy until I found this review. Its praise after praise for this game, but after playing 6-7 games of just Season 1, I don't see it. Its way too many components and cost for what it delivers, an almost tedios experience of hoardes of respawning enemies and constantly moving pieces and texts to resolve and keep track of. I've played it on every player count by now I think, and I've never had a session where I felt blown. Yeah, its pretty, its dumb and straightforward in a fun way, that's a lot of dice I'm rolling, and yeah there are some (too few) insane moments where you pull of something impossible. But nothing that shouts brilliance. For me the rating is 7 so far. Really confused by the appeal for this one.
I've only played the retail base game, BUT I don't want to spend even more money to make a game better when I think its already too expensive for what it is (mechanically and even physically).
