Ready & willing to donate his actions to nearby allies, it's John Fernsby!

Noteworthy paints used: Much like I didn't have a 'green suede' color on hand for Charles, I also didn't really have a "sage green" color on hand here for John's coat. Ultimately I used Ryleh Grey over a green base coat for this. That's a scale gray color that has a bit of an off-tone to it, vaguely green/blue so not amazing for black-to-gray highlights. But for this green-ish color, it felt like a solid compromise for the jacket and the highlights of his pants. Interestingly I don't use Sharpnel Red a ton (a dull/brownish red), yet I've used it both here and the Ghasts I just did.
Challenges: For one, if I were to grade myself on actually color-matching his art, I'd get a B at best... I like the color I went with here, but the jacket should be greener. I used some green subtle highlights and it was a green base coat, but I was too cowardly to try "greening" it any further after the gray coat looked nice. I also originally gave him "British pale" skin at first, but it was craaazy pale and I had to fix that. A gentle layer of Blackert Brown tamped it down before re-upping with a skin tone.
Things I'm proud of: Even though I didn't match the art, I think the colors look really good overall. He looks like a dapper dude! I managed to sneak in some salt & pepper coloring for his beard/goatee too which is always nice to pull off. I like this one quite a bit~

Strategy note: I didn't think to add this for Charles but I'm going to start doing this since I'm a veteran DMD player. John's ability is VERY interesting. Though the person playing him will often only have 2 actions, the ramifications of being able to donate a turn to another character is huge. It means he can use another person to run monsters away either for investigation or "safe space" episode actions, for instance. Or have them move enemies into range for his Marksman attacks? Very interesting stuff! Definitely another Marco Portugal influence since it's similar to the Wizard "Time Walk" ability from Massive Darkness 2.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoy! =)
