I finally got a chance to break open lost episode 9, "The Cursed Boy" which requires season 3 to play. The episode has been sitting on my shelf since July 2024 waiting for Season 3 to be delivered as a kickstarter pledge. Season 3 still hasn't arrived (Now January 2025) but I bought it last month because the wait was taking too long.

I found the episode to be great. Once again the skill swiftness would have been helpful! Season 3 really made swiftness more appealing in an investigator with the larger map sizes, and episode 3 is no different. Something neat about this episode was the use of the unnamable who can not be defeated with other monsters/cultist in its space. Well this episode floods you with cultist! A really cool effect is that you have to interogate cultist without killing them, which may leave you on a space with a cultist after you are out of actions. Like Lost episode 8, this episode has a more complicated ritual than your average episode, but it also makes for a more full and rich game. There is a neat arrangement of map pieces here, and something unique was combining an L shaped pieces with a small 1 room piece to create a really isolated room smack in the middle of the map, a potential final objective location for the ritual. All in all, this episode was a huge success and is in my top 5. More challenging than the others, but that's okay because it is managable and not unwinnable like s1e5. The only thing that was annoying about this episode was the glaring typo on the episode card. "Maybe" was typed on the card where "may be" was intended to be used.
