Oh yea, this happened to one of our groups. My brother figured out in a previous Game to just tank the corruption on a boss, so I suggested it in another game. Then the boss attacked another player this way and killed the group. Gane keeps us guessing every time
We tend to try to make sure we go into the final fight with no hero having a Corruption. Ideally, we also make sure each hero can weather a little collateral damage - maybe 5 Spirit and 25-30 warriors each.
