For part 1 - Ranking my games per shelf!

In shelf 2 we find 4 games:

Furnace
Ra
Viticulture Essential Edition
Betrayal at House on the Hill

Number 4 is Betrayal at House on the Hill - It's a fun game. OK, let me rephrase that - it COULD be a fun game. If the scenario allows it, that is. I have mixed feelings about this one. I really enjoy exploring the house, but whenever we start the second part of the game, I am like - I hope this time the scenario is good... Because not every time it is. Overall, it's a game that with more people is fun to play and I like it (sometimes), just not one that is a favorite of mine. SO loves it, so that's why it's staying in our collection.

Number 3 is... Ra I know, I know! And I love the game, I really do. It's a perfect game in itself, but I just like the two other games a tad more. Is this the best bidding game I have played? Sure is! And not to mention the gorgeous work 25th Century Games have done on this one! I absolutely adore this game, but I prefer number 2 just a bit more. A hair.

And number 2 is Furnace. A game I didn't expect to love at first - even though I love economic games, - but came to enjoy a lot. I love the bidding system, the drafting, the queue of actions - everything. I've never won a game of it (yet!), but I'm sure I will soon! :D It's just that my fiancé is way better than me at this one in particular.

Number 1 is not a surprise - one of my favorite games of all time and one that brings me so much joy each and every play - Viticulture Essential Edition. An absolute perfect game, that I just don't know what more to say about. I think at this point there's not one single gamer that hasn't played it. From the design to the theme to the art to the production quality this game is an absolute must for every board gamer's collection. Could be my all time favorite worker placement I have played. A true masterpiece. Thank you, Jamey Stegmaier, for this forever keep! :)
