If you end up liking this game, at least two is the way to go. You can't build a very big structure at all with just one set. Two will let you build a bigger fortress or even let two players each have their own smaller fort.As for value, I wouldn't hold your breath. Along with a couple of the DnD small expansion packs and sometimes a little bit of Wave 10, this is one of the few Heroscape items I still see in game shops here and there...and it is still selling at the normal price when I do see it.
