If no containers have the product, then how can CMON say they will get here by mid October if they still don't know what container or ship they will be on?
They can’t, and they don’t. That’s how estimates work, they are done in case of incomplete knowledge.
And even they already were on a ship, it would still be an estimate.
You know what product is on or not on a ship. You know what you paid for to go into container X, or not. It may arrive late, delayed, but don't kid yourself about whether there is a bit of confusion regarding what IS IN container X. The stuff you paid for to be in it.
Now, let's say you have product A, and booked a container, on a ship, to move product A. But then, it seems for various reasons, you might be better filling that container with product B, and putting that less important product A in some other container on some other ship, and maybe that might not even be booked yet! omg!
Yeah hey ... fuck them. Cos I am not a supporter, purchaser or interested party re "product B", and they didn't give a damn.
It's not about estimates. It's about priorities, and what makes more money right now. Well, that's ok, but then you have to live with the cost of your choices. And that should mean all CTMD customers give them the middle finger for fucking us over for another product. We will see what it means in practice, but they lost me for sure.
Be assured, *estimates* were not the issue for the biggest and most experienced (possibly? probably!?) boardgame producer in the world. Money was, customer reaction was not.
Don't be a decimal point, let them know you don't like this behavour!
