I like the IDEA, but for some reason getting Godzilla is just a money grab to me, but he looks cool!

If you want to know what it adds, it adds a 3rd element to your games, he has a pretty Significant impact in making the game different.

The godzilla concert can be broken down into 2 stages stopping the ritual part and fighting the old god big monster smack down.

1. What he does during the 1st phase is each turn before you draw the mythos card he does an action. Either making you lose sanity, stomping a monster/ cultist flat like a pancake if he's in a space with one and starts adding rock tokens to the board. Or he attacks you with his well known firebreath attack. Adds fire tokens to the board and hits everything in your space for 1.

By the time you stop the ritual he makes the borad a living hell to move around. Fire everywhere and rock tokens makes it stressful to move in room with them limit 1 per room so you take stress damage moving through those spaces. He makes the 1st part of the game harder sCDMD ZZZometimes the random things he kills helps you little bit.

Part 2

Godzilla is on your side now, as something at/ higher then his powerlevel shows up

His actions now are replaced with going straight for the old god and having a monster smack down. Each one does 3-4 damage to the elder, after taking damage it counter attacks godzilla. Either a melee strike or a longer range mind attacks. Godzilla has 5 Distress/ health however you wanna look at it. The odds are in the favor the counter attacks will distress Godzilla but not every time. On average the mind attack will do it 40~% one tentacle on two black dice and the melee close to 100% 2, ! hits with 4 green dice.

So he puts you on a clock but the damage he does isn't nothing 12+ so far in my games. The map is still a mess however.

Overall I like to think of it like this godzilla is active in the location and the only fighting chance you have is to use his aid to fight the elder one. If godzilla dies( runs away) all hope is lost and everyone is doomed.

I know that's not how the normal gameplay gose but I think that's what they where going for. It gives you tools to be Creative with it replaced godzilla with any strong Entity that makes sense. Dramatically, I like the play it as godzilla dies but that just my opinion that old gods are much stronger then him but he's still strong enough to trade blows bit.

Hopefully that helpful!

I can say that Exearder is right. Godzilla adds a huge shift to the play as a 3rd element to a game, and is too well designed to just be a money grab. A game with Godzilla can see a Shoggoth or Star Spawn killed in 1 turn with no effort on the investigators. The board will be covered in fire and debris, before the Old One even appears. Gameplay with Godzilla can seem very different and unique.
