Difficultly is primarily based upon when the Epidemics come out coupled with what cities show up in the Infection deck.

Get a good draw and you don't have an epidemic until you've been around the table at least once.

Case in point, our last game was a cakewalk since non of our Coda cities appeared in the first 10 cards. We we were able to use our actions to eradicate Yellow after once around the table, thereby being able to ignore half of the cards in the infection deck once we started having epidemics. That and the last card of the player deck was an Epidemic, so we had one fewer that we ultimately had to work with.

Both of our January games were loses since we had a few Epidemics really close together and most of the infection cities were our Coda disease that we couldn't do anything about.

One of the reasons why I like Pandemic so much is how it is so dependent upon the Player and Infection deck draws and how you deal with what comes up.

Of course, and that - in turn - is why I do not doubt that Legacy too will deliver soon :)
