I wonder if your opinion is affected by the fact that you played it solo. I enjoy solo games as well, but sharing the tension created by Pandemic Legacy was a huge part of the enjoyment for me.

And yes, I agree to an extent with your comments about the game feeling scripted but I see that as a positive, not a detractor. It felt as though you were seeing a story unfold that you were part of without, to us anyway, ever feeling like you were losing agency in the game.

It was helpful to hear your comments on Risk Legacy as well. I have never played that but would like to give it a go after enjoying this game so much.

I expect playing it solo affected my view of it somewhat. I want to play a second campaign with three other humans next time around. I'll just watch and let them make all the decisions. Right or wrong. :)

I should clarify that the scripted nature isn't a deal breaker at all, and I did enjoy a number of elements of it, I just worry that multiple playthroughs won't differ greatly. I could be wrong though. Maybe I'll write a second review after my second campaign. :)

Glad you found my thoughts on Risk Legacy useful. I recommend it if you like Risk at all.
