I've played the campaign with the plastic cities and thought they were a net benefit. There was one occasion when they blocked the name of a city for me but that was easily solved by briefly moving the piece. The rest of the time, they were really useful for indicating which were the Big Cities, especially for players who had difficulty distinguishing between colours.
[Q]Could you help me with the box dimensions of this promo?
I can't measure it exactly at the moment but it's about the size of two packs of standard playing cards stuck together back-to-back!
