I love Heroscape as a game but with all the content I already own, I am not really seeing a reason to buy more. Definitely not at this price point. I don't think that the sculpts are interesting enough to paint myself, and the painted ones are so expensive for what they are. It is an unwinnable situation if you ask me and to be honest, I can't see this get enough traction to stay alive longer than 2-3 waves. I am really curious to see if it survives past the AoA content.

Wow. That is a really sad viewpoint. I tend to be much more positive, even after the disappointment of Haslab. I also have a ton of content and have continued to play Heroscape throughout the years both for fun with my kids and competitively in tournaments. I recently attended a local tournament and could not believe the turnout. For a game that has been out of print for so long, Heroscape has such a dedicated group of fans that I personally don't see it ever dying out. Yes, perhaps this new iteration might if not properly supported, but I think Renegade is doing a much better job with this. Of course it is expensive, especially the pre-painted minis, but what is cheap these days that is worth anything? I think there is a high probability that this could be a rebirth that could be sustained and long-lasting. At least I hope so. Long live 'Scape! May its future continue to be bright.
