Sorry to pee on your bonfire, but you forgot to factor in a minimum of $25 for Kickstarter postage (to the us) for any item in this project and a projected fulfilment time of November/December.
That means that for you, the $5 pledge is unlikely to have been worth it: Instead of pledging a minimum of $90 through the Kickstarter as you have, you could have bought the base game for $55 including shipping from Boardlandia and received it this week.
Admittedly, you would not have got the paint wash on the plastic vehicles or the Extra Ammo mini expansion that you will receive in or after November however, so YMMV as to the value of these against $35 plus the 8 month longer wait.
Perhaps! But, the 8 month wait is not a big deal to me. Our family's backlog of games is large, so we have plenty of things to keep us occupied. And, no, I did not forget the $25 shipping, but like I mentioned, the Extra Ammo expansion and paint wash cover that in my mind. I checked Amazon before doing the order, and when I checked, it $60 at that time (or $58 and some odd cents). Yes, I could have had it in a few days, but figured I would support Restoration Games while I was at it! I guess I can always add more during the Backerkit phase, but, like I mentioned, I am not sure I really care that much to do it! :)
