Yes! The "make a ranged attack" is a bit of an odd one but actually plays really well with the other cards in the deck, as it lets you self damage and make an attack all in the same action. It "turns on" cards like "Even Death May Die", "Call the Old Ones", and "Zoan Chant". It is a bit weird as the attack happens in the middle of the book's action, but wasn't sure how to handle that more elegantly.I've made several changes to the deck I'll be testing out over the weekend, hoping to crank up the power level a bit. (I keep losing to my gf who doesn't really play games). Some changes I'm still debating to up power level after this conversation:
- Add an additional "Even Death May Die" in place of a weaker attack card
- Change effect of "Powder of Ibn Ghazi" to something more synergistic with the rest of the deck (I went for theme on this one, revealing the unseen)
- Change to "Which Can Eternal Lie" to make it feel better to play, and less of a dead card when "The Necronomicon" is already in hand
- Increase the power of the Necronomicon in general (Maybe Chris's suggestion of scaling with low hp?)
- Increase to overall HP (this hurts b/c I already had the health dial made, but oh well! lol)
