Hello All!I created a custom character that I'm pretty proud of, and I'd love the input of others. I know I'm not alone in this, but one area of the public domain that I noticed lacking in Unmatched was the Cthulhu mythos. I also really wanted to make a character who had his whole deck based around a singular card, rather than a token or static power. So the writer/discoverer of the Necronomicon, Abdul Alhazred, seemed like the perfect solution to both these issues!

His "power" is that he starts with the Necronomicon card in his hand, which gives a myriad of strong effects at the cost of his sanity (aka Health). I then wanted to heavily incentivize the use of the card, so several cards in his deck trigger off of having taken damage, or reference the Necronomicon directly. I really am loving the "Power, but at what cost" vibe from the self damaging effects.

I've done a fair bit of testing with others so far, and on the whole he still feels on the weaker end. Maybe a good thing for a custom character! He doesn't seem to be able to dish out much damage via combat, but instead has relatively strong defense and several direct damage effects.
