Review: Ticket to Ride Legacy: Legends of the West:: SPOILERS! - Playing through the campaign

Last week we finish the campaign and here are a few thoughts on playing through the whole 12 games......
We played the first 6 games a day at a time, mainly because of time constraints, but also because we didn't want to put any steps wrong as we started the early games. As elements, rules, options, and components were gradually added to the early games, we found that we were both excited at new arrivals, but not overalled by these additions. We found that they were introduced in gradual intervals which lifted the games but didn't hamper our enjoyment or cause us problems in keeping up with the changing mechanisms. After the first 6 games we played the next 3 in one day. This we found a little harder to keep up as new additions came through the games faster (of course). Nevertheless, we were still happily playing along and keeping up. The last 3 games we also played in a day - the day after the previous 3. These we found somewhat easier to play through - perhaps because we had played so many of the games and was, by now, use to the gradual introduction of additional mechanisms, etc.
I have to say, we all thoroughly enjoyed the legacy games - we had never played anything like this before. There were a few mechanisms that we didn't enjoy so much - (1) The Thief. (2) The Ghost Train. (3) Circus - although if this had lasted longer we might have enjoyed it more. And there were some we greatly enjoyed - (1) Gradual introduction of regions/boards. (2) Piggybacking. (3) Having our own Company.
Generally, we are glad we played through the entire 12-game campaign of the Legacy, but I feel we wouldn't want to repeat the experience (even if it was possible to replay the legacy game), and now look forward to playing our unique copy of the final game (1901).
Thank you, Ticket to Ride makers, for this experience.
