We finally won!We switched characters to Mary and Adilah. There was quite a bit of luck involved in the win.
The two key elements to this win involved our ability to keep our distance, rest for each other and use some guerrilla-style tactics.
Mary upgraded marksman completely, so was able to do distance damage without taking too much damage.
Adilah luckily drew the waitress and the monkey. The waitress allowed her to use the gates as movement portals. The monkey provided stealth allowing her to run away from the Black Goat after killing it be of his spawn.
Adilah moved back and forth between the red and blue gates chipping away at the Dark Spawns the BG kept spawning. Mary was able to keep her distance and had a several other dice from other companions.
This set definitely requires distance targeting and a fair amount of luck.
I’m not sure what other strategies could be employed, but it was extremely satisfying to win after those earlier bad beats.
