That strikes me as a little bizarre – we already made our own version 🙂 If the point of preserving the final state of the board is to preserve the culmination of your unique experience – either for nostalgic play or because it's genuinely good (preferably both), or just to show people or whatever – then mutating the board ruins that. If you don't care about having an enduring memento of your experience then this is a non-issue to begin with so sure, go nuts with a train-themed box of toys. But if you do care then that box of toys is a poor substitute.
