I have The same tablett and same problem.
This is fix for me:
1. Turn om tower.
2. Go to bt settings.
3. Press tower from bt device. It will fail to connect.
4. Start app and game. And it connects.
IF I dont "try" to connect before app I dont get it to connect.. Strangely enough.

Hi,
I work with android/bluetooth and (medical in my job) devices. It's strange but in reality sadly common 😄 Every manufacturer uses his own bluetooth chipset and if it's not compatible with the one in the device you can't do anything.
In your case it probably works because the tower can see the tablet and accept the connection (but the tablet can't connect outside the app), so when you try to connect from inside the app it works because the connection is accepted both ways.
I just tried with another huawei tablet and it didn't work, but I know that the huawei tablet are a bummer for the BT connections
