Well today you are in for a treat. Not too much bullshit from me. Just wonderful images. Firstly I would like to say a heart felt thank you to all those people who submit images that I steal for my blog. By far the best photography on BGG comes from Henk Rolleman. He also does a blog mainly using photos Photo Impression of .....
Rajas of the Ganges: The Dice Charmers is such a pretty roll and write. I don’t own it but I’ve played on BGA.
Flourish is another really pretty game. I bought this purely because it’s was by James A. Wilson the designer of Everdell. We use the variant idea whereby you can pick a second card up from the draw pile otherwise we find, you end up passing the same card back and forth across the wall.
I never know how they do those photos with a component drop, like this one for Akropolis.
I’ve played a few games from the Unmatched services including Unmatched: Battle of Legends, Volume One.
Older games alway tend to have the worse images but this one of Concordia is pretty good.
I think this old sepia image for Obsession is really clever.
This image sums up Lost Ruins of Arnak for me. Probably my favourite game. I think the use of fear cards in the game is quite clever. It’s a persistent annoyance rather than something you have to try and avoid.
World Wonders has such nice minitures its proved a very photographic game. An easy image to take but nevertheless very effective.
I haven’t decided whether to pick up Barcelona yet or worked out where or not the trams have stickers or are screen printed. I need another city building game like a hole in the head.
Life of the Amazonia is another game with draw dropping components.
Heat: Pedal to the Metal has spawned some wonderful photographs.
A creative shot of a card from Viticulture Essential Edition.
Another shot of an older game Great Western Trail.
Forest Shuffle is one of my favourite games from 2023.
Another great image of Lost Ruins of Arnak.
And finally….
Lego
We built Dippy. He only just fits. I tried turning him found and putting his tail through reception but as it was I ended up putting it straight down which isn’t really a natural pose for a dinosaur.
