A re-imagining of Dragons of Glory, this project is a labor of love. Several years ago, I wanted to create an updated version of the game that I and my friends would enjoy playing - this is the semi-finished result inspired in part by War of the Ring. The zipped pnp is uploaded in the Files section of Dragons of Glory. Features I have attempted to include:* the Dragons of Glory map with a point-to-point/area movement overlay instead of hexes
* dice-driven turn structure - more conquest generates more options
* expanded combat options - no odds tables
* new diplomatic activation system - no more dice rolls
* a new quest system where you control the Companions of the Lance as they quest for artifacts around the map, while the enemy controls assassins to hunt them down
* muliple options for building military forces with racial capabilities
* both sides have strategy decks of 50+ cards that bring the events and personalities of the war into the game
* the best part (in my opinion) is that the game is a new experience every time - it can play out "historically", or it can end in multiple ways with multiple victory conditions
Many of the ideas for this variant have been borrowed, some are my own ideas. None of the artwork used is mine and I claim no ownership of anything except the general gaming concepts and gestalt organization of the project. My hope is that others can enjoy this version and let me know any constructive criticism you may have to make it better. Happy hunting.
