I've been confused about some of the tiles, specifically 11a and 24b, and whether they count as one or two spaces. I have seen previous arguments about that on the forums, but the consensus seems to be that they are one space, because there are no arrows between the clear sections.

I'm not so sure, and think they are meant to be unconnected. As evidence, I looked at the setup instructions, which put starting tokens into two separate spaces:

Can't say the artwork is clear, but that is my conclusion anyway. Thought I would post that in case it interested anyone else, or there was other evidence I am missing

I do agree with the consensus that they are one space, because there are no arrows between the two halves of that space. I think that the setup showing the placement of those enemies nearest the entrance into that space has been done to facilitate a player's awareness that they are there to be encountered if you want to enter that space to deal with whatever is at the far end. It's logical that an enemy would be standing on guard in front of your objective. Yes, the space is big enough to be divided into two spaces inside a house, but this is outdoors and although there is plenty of room on that tile, both the enemy and objective are nevertheless close enough that no movement action needs to be spent to go from one to the other. You spend an actin to move into the room then spend an action to deal with one then another action to deal with the other.
