I have played at least 15 games of Risk 2210 before I started logging games.I have played 33+ games of Risk Legacy.
I would say the biggest that would be relavant to you would be time.
2210 average game is 2.5-3 hours.
Risk Legacy average game is 1 hour.
If your group gets to gether 5 times for 3 hours... Odds are good that you will play through most of the campaign and have a unique game.
I like both. But realize that 2210 is generally longer per game.
I think your group sounds like it would benefit more from Risk Legacy.
