We aren't going to pick someone obscure just because they're obscure. But there are good number of obscure figures of legend and history that have really cool stories and will make really cool heroes. We like to include them in the mix because it makes for a more interesting diverse set (and also lets us have more cultural and ethnic diversity as well). A whole set of lesser known figures just wouldn't make sense because you first have to get someone to pick up a box before they'll buy it. But I'm very much down with someone picking up a box because it has a hero they dig and seeing another hero they haven't who has some amazing art and a neat card effect.

I had a thread on here about the character "Christian" from Pilgrim's Progress. It had some neat discussion on passive characters and how would they fit and such. I still think he would be a neat challenge!
