That's the BGG consensus but just gonna throw in that in my own experience (playing with all sets other than Buffy and RRHvsBW) King Arthur works fine.

On the other hand, I cannot for the life of me get Robin Hood to work at all.


I find that King Arthur works fine as well. He's trickier than you might think for what seems like an obvious bruiser of a figure, but if you use Merlin judiciously and maybe get a little lucky, then he can still come out on top not infrequently.

I don't dispute the data and accounts of others who rate him as the weakest, but even the least optimal matches in this game are never auto-lose scenarios.
