For 2013 I've got Rallyman: Dirt ...

The whole Rallyman series keeps me on the fence. I think the mechanics are clever and the game stick really to the theme... but is'n it really a multi-solitaire game?
I mean: i can't see the "fight" between the players, they could play each one his own box and tell the others "that's my time".... am i wrong?

You are correct in this. Rallyman is really multiplayer solitaire, in that you drive your own race and doesn't come into contact with the others that much.
www.Rallyman.fr which is the publishers website even holds a contest just like you describe, where you drive a predetermined rally on your own and then post your times to the website.

My experience with the game isn't much, but I'll give you some thoughts.

1. If you don't like rally this is not the game for you.
2. I have played the Monte Carlo rally in the competition I mentioned and I found the experience very cool. The stages are well thoguth out and they provide a challenge.
3. The game is challenging, and reckless driving is often punished.
4. A very good solitaire game if you like rally.
5. The mechanics used in the game provides a challenge and you do have to think ahead towards the next turn and preferable even further. If you have experience with Formula D this might sound like it will take forever to play, but since the cars are spaced out it doesn't take long to play.

6. Multiplayer is still fun, because you drive several stages to each rally. Kinda like Powerboats does it with 3 races to determine the winner. After the first stage the leader goes first, and it is also possible to limit the ability to fix the car between stages.
7. In my 2-player game my opponent caught me on the road, and soundly beat me.
8. Part of the fun in multiplayer is seeing what the others do, as it is in Fomrula D. Seeing someone crash is still fun, but it is not a confrontational game.
9. Several different terrains(asphalt, snow, dirt) and several different tires(soft, asphalt, snow, dirt) and diferent layouts gives the game a huge variety without adding complexity.

I think I'll stop now, but I can say that I like the game and finds it fun to play.

An easy way to find out if you and your gaming group would like this game is if you can answer yes to this question.

Q: Have you and your friends ever played Gran Turismo, Formula 1, WRC, on the PS3(or other consoles/PCs)and taken turns to drive a track to get the best possible time on that track, and enjoyed this experience?
If you enjoyed this, theres a good chance you will like Rallyman.
